I grew up watching Disney cartoons and when I got older I bought a few stocks, but for some reason it's seems that Disney as
it once was is no more. The fantasy and fiction (the "Magic") seems to have fizzled out. I do of course realize this may have something to do with my age, but I think it may also have to do with
the new generation that is coming up. Children don't scare as easily as they used to and they also do not dream as easily or as much as they used to. I feel Disney in order to make a good comeback will need
to swing to a more realistic storyline, flying isn't as amazing as it used to be and talking dragon's, well, we know they don't exist. Possibly a look into what amazing things really exist in our world
is what is needed, things children haven't see or experienced and possibly never will. A search for a reality with some hope attached. Children aren't as naive as they used to be and they will never again
be. In case no one has noticed there is a rise in children with severe depression, children need to learn to laugh at not only themselves but at the silly little things that go on in this world, can Disney
find a way to make children Happy, to get them to laugh and cry with out pretending, (which is fun sometimes)but can lead a young mind into hoping for somethng that is unrealistic, not that I am implying
that Disney is the cause of children with depression, let me put it to you this way," No Virginia, there isn't a Santa Claus." There are still little things to amuse the mind, heart and soul.
My query is "Can Disney find it?" |
